this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; OMG!!! I knew it would happen, just not from you... "The Offensive line didn't block as as well for Pierre as they did for Reggie?" They're professionals... He's not that good... Hence, undrafted... Hence, never plays... That's it!...

You're both interpreting it incorrectly.
We ran Pierre Thomas every down to run out the clock. Carolina sold out on the run - as they should. When Stecker and Bush ran, there was still a passing threat. Pierre Thomas aside from 1-carry was only used at the end of the game to kill the clock. That's why it was harder for him to run. |

We traded Stalworth (1st RD pick) in order to keep and start Colson. The Coaches know when they find those good undrafted players. Usually the Saints staff doesnt... hence we let go of Marc Bulger and Jake Delhomme to keep Aaron Brooks, but at least we are keeping the better players now eventhough we still arent letting them play.
