realistic changes to see next year
ok i'll start with offensive line:
LT Zach Strief, LG Allan Faneca or Andy Allemen, C Goodwin, RG Jahri Evans, RT Jamal Brown. WR: 1 Colston, 2 Meachem, 3 Patrick Crayton, 4 David Patten, 5 Lance Moore 6 Copper RB: Reggie 2 Deuce, 3 Thomas anyone not listed that currently plays any of these positions are disposable any position on offense not listed should not be changed defense is a bit harder but here goes keep in mind i'm not saying we want to see all of these but it's realistic Marvin Mitchel takes over at MLB, Simoneau is in the last year of contract maybe sign he for backup i think Mckenzie who is also in his final year of contract won't get resigned so our starters next year will most likely be Usama and David i really don't realistically see any other changes but i'd love to get Lance Briggs to replace Shanle and Haynesworth to replace Brian Young but i just don't see it. what do yall think what changes do you realistically see happening and will they come back to Jackson this summer? i know its off topic but just popped in my head. |

Re: realistic changes to see next year
I am going to go out on a reach with this one, I would say the most realistic change for next year is the signing of RB Michael Turner. I will also say that the Saints will do everything in their power to resign Mike McKenzie.

Re: realistic changes to see next year
I would say that Turner is probably the least likely OS signing. Just my opinion, though. With Deuce probably coming back, Reggie on the roster, PT showing promise, I think we can afford to draft a big RB in the later rounds of the draft. I'm sure Mississippi University for Women has a FB we can trade up to draft two rounds too early.
I really want Faneca and Samuel. I'm actually OK with our prospects at DT relative to LOG, CB and FS. I don't really like the prospect of moving Brown to RT and putting Streif at LT. I just don't see the logic. Stinch is coming on lately and outside of the Faneca possibilty, I don't expect too much of a shake-up on the OL. |

Stinchcomb is playing better, Evans and Nesbit have to help Faine too much and I would love to see a Fontenot type center picked via free agency or drafted. I think Goodwin, Nebit, Evans, Alleman make a great group of four to add to a new starting center. I think Stinchcomb will still be around as long as he has some great games as the coaches will see the potential. I personally think Bushrod should get a good look during the off season and if he isn't showing improvement he should be looked at interior or stay a versatile back-up and someone should be cut to make room for a new RT. Strief has shown promise as a back-up and maybe even a starter at RT if he can play consistently. Our O line is maddening in general, and I hope everyone plays better, yes I even hope this for Faine, and we do not need anyone but I do not see this happening. |
