if pierre thomas can't go

if pierre thomas can't go does that mean that Robert Meachem may get activated to return kicks and possible play a little
right now i prefer thomas but i'm thinking with this what if from a coaches stand point to have another weapon
i know we have jamaal Branch but he's on the practice squad which means we'd i have to drop some one down to practice squad and pull him up to activate him which could be another scenerio where we put pierre down to practice squad until he heals and pull up jamaal branch to active until pierre heals
which do yall think will happen
or want to happen?
