Reggie Bush still looking to live up to high expectations

Reggie is a great talent. Reggie is one of the best athletes I have ever seen, but that only gets you so far," quarterback Drew Brees said. "Certain fundamentals and discipline to playing this game -- that is learned and that's not something that just happens immediately." |

Re: Reggie Bush still looking to live up to high expectations
Brees has been exceptionally nice to Bush. We know deep in his heart that Brees is very frustrated with Bush these days. Maybe Brees just needs to lash out at him. I can guarantee you this, if Bobby Hebert was the QB these days, Bush would be putting up some serious game. No disrespect at all to Brees, but Brees does not light the fire under a guys ass like Hebert did. Teammates would get so pissed at Hebert they would just play better to just shut him up. No one wanted to be chewed on by Hebert, even if they only understood a few words of what he was saying.

Well, many have been frustrated with Brees at times this season. Who lashed out at him? I suspect some old schoolers confused leadership with whining, concerning Hebert.

I'd like to see players light a fire under their OWN a$$. If they can't find paper then they should use a handful of those millions of George Washington's to start a flame.... sorry

I agree, we don't need just one or two to get a fire, we need the whole team. These guys are playing like they're in a daze. Even sleepwalking through the games.Looks to me like some of the players have given up,problem is some of them gave up a long time ago.

We beat Atlanta is the first step. Then on to the next game. A lady asked me one time.....how do you eat an elephant? I thought about it a long time and said i didn't know. She answered....one bite at a time. Same thing for the Saints, they have to eat their elephant, one bite at a time.
