Hall To Payton: "i'll Play For You For The Minimum"
HALL TO PAYTON: "I'LL PLAY FOR YOU FOR THE MINIMUM"
Our moles who were in the Georgia Dome on Monday night tell us that, at one point during the game between New Orleans and Atlanta, Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall was overheard telling Saints coach Sean Payton, "I'll play for you for the minimum," or words to that effect. Hall was fined $100,000 for his conduct in a game earlier this year against the Panthers, and the general feeling in the wake of the incident has been that Hall won't be back in 2008. Prior to that, Hall made clear his desire to test the open market once his rookie contract expires. It's unlikely that Hall would actually play for the Saints, or anyone, for the minimum player contract with four years of experience. Still, the broader point is that Hall clearly wants out of Atlanta. He'll likely get his wish. |

Re: Hall To Payton: "i'll Play For You For The Minimum"
Let's see what the Saints do when Hall enters free agency and says that he wants 30 million bucks in guaranteed money. I love the guys ability, would love to see him signed along with Mike McKenzie getting resigned, but maybe this Hall guy would be too much of a pain in the butt for the Saints organization. I can almost guarantee that Hall is going to at least talk to the Saints during free agency. He seems to hate Atlanta so bad right now, why not talk to their biggest rival?

Hall probably changed his mind once Petrrino quit.

I feel bad for all of the Falcons players right now especially the vets. The vets are going to wiped from that team like bird poo on a windshield. I would love to see Hall play for us we need a tall CB who doesnt get beat.

Its a nice story to talk about but he wont be a free agent until after NEXT season...will probably still be a falcon next year...barring a trade and the chances are slim to none that he gets traded within the division.
