Makes you wonder why the Saints are only 7-7. Very weird season if you ask me.

Yes the defense has let us down for most of the season but I would have to say the turnovers are why we are 7-7.

Re: this bodes very well for us
Good point. Drew Brees was simply awful in those first four games (and in one or two since then). Many people say, "As goes Drew Brees, so go the New Orleans Saints" - that's something I agree with whole heartedly. I don't know the "why" of Brees playing so poorly in those first games, and there are I'm sure a lot of theories, but that's the reason for our losses in my opinion - not the defense.

Re: this bodes very well for us
I don't necessarily think the St. Louis loss was that bad, the two that may really bite the Saints in the butt was the recent Tampa Bay game, and that week 4 loss to Carolina. Those two losses are potential season killers...

Re: this bodes very well for us
The Tampa Bay game is the game everybody will look at if we don't make the playoffs. You just can't lose an important game that way, let's just have faith that they win the last two games of the season and the Vikes lose one. One thing I can say about Coach Payton, he may be one of the youngest coaches in the league, he never, not once lost control of his team. Through all the adversity our boys went through this year, no one ever pointed a finger. THAT'S LEADERSHIP!
