Defensively we are loaded with good back ups. so lets see what new starters show up. |

Sean Payton needs to find a defensive guru who is just as aggressive as he is on the other side of the ball.
Gary Gibblet gravy and his "quarters" and 4-4 defenses. Everytime you hear Sean Payton's press conference he's like "...yeah it was a quarters coverage that he burnt us on...". EVERYTIME. |

I agree with almost everything missle....except steltz, i think he will be good against the run but he has been struggling lately covering college wr's. Yea he has made some sweet picks, but he would prolly play mostly special teams.

Wow...how quick the tables have turned. I am not a big fan of the defense either but you are already prepared to fire Gibbs? The idea of bringing in 3 rookie LB's to solve our problems is ridiculous. Gibbs has a style of defense that works, he just needs the right players...we need a big run stopper at DT...we need a LB who has the speed to cover a TE and to blitz...and we need a CB to lock up and win sometimes and a Safety who knows his assignments...thats not alot to ask for...most teams have that, we dont.
and our DT is Brian Young...not Bryant Young...your post became irrelevant to me when you messed that up. |
It's all in the reflexes.

Re: My UnWish List for next year...
Gibbs is working with a short deck gang. He has been given what to work with? Not much. A couple of starters and a handful of very good back players to start. Heck I wonder how much input he has really had so far. I bet he is the most frustrated coach on the staff after the draft and all the FA are signed. Give this guy a chance to get his style of players in here first. The offense has been the #1 priotity for the saints and the defense has been an after thought. After 2 years now we have a solid offensive club that is so close to being finished, I say get it done now. There is no way we can keep signing and drafting so many offensive players each year. There is just not enough room for high draft choices and big ticket FA. The defense has the room to grow.
