How long have we been waiting for Henderson to hold on to the ball? It's time to cut our loses (and the number of dropped passes).

Papz, where did that quote about crows come from? Forrest Gump? Raising Arizona?

I know...I think I hold out hope for him because he does catch the occasional pass and make the occasional play. I don't think he's the worst guy on the team. Okay, maybe offensively he is. I don't know...I'd still be tempted to keep him. I do confess to cringing everytime I see him reaching for a pass...

I'm also tempted to cover his hands in Gorilla Glue or wrap him in double sided tape from head to toe.

I am not sure even with your solution Henderson could hold onto the football. Fast as a speeding bullet with dead cold hands. A change of scenery and cut in salary would help a lot!

I bet if each ball had an incentive attached to it (like no salary and $10,000 for each ball caught), his ability to catch a football might improve!

*lol*

Your signature comes to mind when I think about my love/hate relationship with Henderson.

I respect your opinion, but I can not see your justification in keeping a player, who you admittedly called the worst offensive player on the team.

I've already confessed to not knowing *why* I like him. Holy cow, it's not like I have any say on who they keep and why!

Maybe I think the Magic Gloves Fairy™ will pay him a visit and he'll start catching more passes. Maybe hearing "Devery Henderson drops another pass" triggers some subliminal euphoria in my subconscious. Maybe I know that I'll never be subjected to hearing him call himself Uno Nueve.

At least I didn't say "LET'S KEEP JASON DAVID!". I'm not *that* stupid.

It's Henderson's contract year. He's going to want to be shown the money. And there will be other teams that will covet a receiver with his abilities. And of course other coaches will think they can solve the hands problems.

The Saints will not be able to afford to keep him. And IIRC didn't we spend a #1 draft pick on an explosive receiver?

Re: Player turnover..........

it is very realistic to see this team next year without Copper, Henderson, Nesbit, Simoneau, Young, Craft, and Bullocks...but the rest of the guys should be back...that doesnt mean they will all have the same role, but they will probably be back with the team. I think the coaching staff remains largely intact, but i do see changes being made as the DB coach and the special team coach may be on the outs. Jason David, Jon Stinchcomb, and Roman Harper will still be saints in some capacity. I think that the staff needs to realize that we cant keep bringing in 2nd tier defensive guys to shore up the unit, they need to add a big name guy to the back end of the defense, and i think the draft is the way to go to add a MLB and some depth in the secondary. In a perfect world, the Saints would give up the farm for Bob Sanders OR Marcus Trufant...then have a draft that would produce a MLB, nickle corner, WR, TE and QB. We have to hope that Alleman could fill in Nesbits spot, find a WR in free agency, and bring in someone who can teach our safety to know his assignment. Its going to be a telling offseason for the club and lets hope they do the right thing.

It's all in the reflexes.
