thats the problem you love him but he's bad for the team. He's a highly drafted return man.

We need to use him more like Hester than a RB.

Re: Trade Bush?

he's a girl that is more concerned with how many commercials he can make, unfortunately he has no trade value because of his contract ,so we will have to watch him avoid contact for a long time to come, Pierre is tough.... he should start

Re: Trade Bush?

I don't believe that RB's trade value is as high as some of us may believe.

Re: Trade Bush?

Bush is as much of a weapon as Lance Moore. He just gets fed the ball about triple the amount anyone else does.

Just like a .50 caliber machine gun is a weapon - so is a sharpened paper clip in prison.

Bush is the paper clip, and fumbles more.

The best thing they can do with Reggie is pull him into the office and tell him face to face that he is not a running back, and his NEW position will be wide receiver and kick returner - so get used to it. The longer he is led on, the worse it is for this whole team.

Re: Trade Bush?

Now that is funny!

I think we need to use him like Hester and we are just going to have to eat the cost it was to get him.

Re: Trade Bush?

Bush is the icing on the cake. But what good is icing without a cake?

If we could trade him for a killer defensive player and a high draft choice, and not destroy our salary cap, I say go for it. We're OK at RB with Thomas, Stecker, and Branch. A healthy Deuce would be great, but not needed.

A team that wants to win can't afford a prima donna that is drawing the salary of 2 or 3 badly needed defensive players.

I have a feeling that Payton has had his fill of Reggie, and will be shopping him around.

Re: Trade Bush?

No way I trade Bush, give him a power back that can help him and he'll improve.
I bet if the Saints were to cut him today there would be 31 other teams who would fight tooth & nail to get him signed.
Some one said here that Bush was "slow" in the slot, he's not slow period, are you kidding me, the guy is quick.
As I said though before, I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever being a great RB but I'll say this, he's an all around good football player in the right set.

Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

Re: Trade Bush?

Bush is one of the most naturally gifted athletes to ever take to the field. When you have a player that talented it is a hard fit into the normal scheme of football. I thought Sean Payton was the perfect man to incorporate Reggie into the scheme. I think things have been getting better with Reggie. I think Sean has been overwhelmed with his first time as head coach to focus on what he knows.

The Saints need to be overhauled, but cutting Reggie puts him against us. We don't want that! He's too special to let go. We can figure out how to use him.
