He's said the numerous of times before and after the game. However there's plenty of time before the deadline in which he certainly could change his mind.

I think you are right. I can see the jets taking because there LB are nre not 14 types and to beat NE to him. Though a QB from the east coast and use to the weather would be tempting. But I think they are not going that route.
NE will pick who ever they want they do not care about rankings. CB is a big need as well as LB. They may end up addressing LB through FA. As usual.
Then you have the bengals. They will snatch him up.
That leaves us with the seconds of everything. Key trade down position. How far depends on who we go after. At this point we can pray for a player to drop or trade back and collect picks so we can address more positions on the field.
Me, I would be open to trading all the way back to dallas at 22. No lower. Cap room would be a benefit as well as getting good picks and or players to boot.
Target at 22:
Aquib Talib, 6 - 2, 193, 4.45, Kansas
or
Justin King, 6-0, 186, 4.34, CB Penn State Jr.
I think the end of round 2 could be a Key location this year. Some gambles there look pretty good. Picking up an additional 4th would help us move around on day 2 when the third round starts.

i agree with you there, we can trade back and pick up Talib or even Phillips if we're lucky. However, if we trade back to dallas at 22, i want a first rounder next year, or this years AND next years 2nd. Dallas traded the same spot (i think) to cleveland last year and got a first out of it, i see no reason why we cant do the same.

That is as far down as I would go an expect to get a player that could start. Any where higher is good to.
I just really like this kid Aquib Talib, Kansas and think he is going to the next great thing since slided bread at FS. He is a hitter that wraps up when tackling. He also has the hands to change a game. He is like a hawk in the way he plays the ball in the air.
Justin King, Penn State is probably the most gifted CB in the draft. If he stays next year he will without a doubt be the first CB taken in the draft in 2009. CB/KR/WR with the speed and size to back all three position up. His ceiling is scary.
Dallas will make a bid to move up. I am thinking WR. DeSean Jackson, WR, California Jr, 6-0, 166, 4.30, Is the guy they will target if they move up. Then again I picture this kid in a saints uniform as a WR/KR and I have to admit I smile at the possiblities he Mitcheam and Colston combined could do. With bush as a flanker.:p LOL nightmare city for DC for years to come.:o LOL but alas way to much money tied up in one position. Back to reality:mad:
I like stock piling picks this year or next. I prefer both. I watch the Pats do it every year. It works.

I'm not so sure. It's not often a LB is chosen in the top ten. I'm banking Laurinaitis will be there at #10.

Good job, I like the first 3 but love Fladell alot, but I don't think he'll last that long.

I agree Dallas will attempt to move up. I read speculation that Dallas is targeting Phillips. If true, I would take their two first round choices for the Saints #10.

#10 carries a value of 1300 points (from the value chart), and Dallas has pick #22 with a value of 780 points and their second first round pick is projected at #30 (subject to the playoffs) with a value of 620 points.

Moving down twelve slots...the Saints COULD still get an impact player that will save them some $$$$$ that can be used to resign Colston and/or Smith.

The Cowboys throw in Carpenter and the Saints throw in Henderson to make the deal! Both players need a change of scenery!

well the pats dont have many areas of need and their LBs are all up there in age, we all know the pats dont follow any kind of conventional thinking. LB is their top need and Laurinaitis is gonna be good, just imagine what the kid will do with seau and bruschi showing him the ropes.

i hope to god im wrong though, laurinaitis is at the top of my want list on draft day.
