• Cornerback - The beleaguered Fred Thomas is the only Saints corner not under contract and won't be in the team's plans for 2008. That leaves Mike McKenzie, Jason David, Jason Craft and Usama Young on the roster.

David was a failure, McKenzie may not be back for the start of the season with a torn ACL, Craft is a nickel corner at best and Young lacks experience.

Top free agents: Asante Samuel, Marcus Trufant, Nnamdi Asomugha, Randall Gay, Drayton Florence, Jacques Reeves.
