Don't expect much in FA's to be signed

Loomis, again, wouldn't go as far as proclaim a spending spree as the Saints sit in the ballpark of $25 million to $30 million below the salary cap.

'You know, we really haven't made that decision yet,' Loomis said. 'I don't know who the guys you're talking about are, but... we want to improve our football team. At the same time, we have to recognize the resources that we've got.

'And we've got some players on our team that are going to command some of those resources, too. So we're looking at it, is kind of the best way to describe it, without tipping our hand

I really didn't take much from that outside of Deuce's future being uncertain.

I don't expect us to sign more than 1 "big-name" guy, but I don't expect us to be totally inactive, either.
