Good Point Also sucks to be a Saints fan out of state... I go to one game a year and guess what? The one game we had picked to visit for was the Chargers game... Too bad for me But the NFL doesn't care |

Re: The Saints are the HOME team in the UK game
Given the exchange rate, the NFL and the Saints stand to make more on this game than any normal home regular season game. Last year's game made the NFL a lot of money, and as the "Home" team, the Saints get to pick up 66% of the "net" revenues. I'm all for making cash money for the home town team. Hopefully it makes its way into the pockets of those who need them.
In addition, this reduces the cost of season tickets, which on a relative basis (cost per ticket vs. household income), are one of the highest in the league. That said, the uppler level of the end zones' corners are great values... |

We could play in Iceland for all I care as long as we come home with a W. They'll still be on TV for everyone to watch. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Many many many years ago I went to Raiders v Saints at Wembley in the American Bowl (1990 I think). I loved it cos I was in the UK then and I was watching my beloved Saints. But the one strong memory I had was an old New Orleanian man walking ever so slowly down Wembley Way. Now he was the business. You could see, you could feel what the Saints meant to him. But I thought how in the hell did he afford that trip. I realized there and then I chose the right team. With fans like that, the soul of the Saints lives forever. To you guys, my deepest respect. |
