Falcons Release Crumpler
I am new to the group. I am a Saints from from way back here in Pa. I saw this and thought he would make a great addition to the Saints. I know he has burned us so many times that I lost count. I hope the link works.

The rationale for his downturn in stats could be due to the QB position and the weight he gained. The last game I saw him play...he reminded me of the "refrigerator". http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3072140 |

Re: Crumpler released
I'd absolutely take him, that guy would add a dimension to our offense that we haven't seen in a VERY long time. Would be a great addition to this offense, and I think would let Brees have that comfort zone he had when he was with Gates.

Re: Crumpler released
How about Rod Coleman? Didn't that guy have a Pro Bowl season a few years ago?

Re: Crumpler released
If not too expensive I say get him right away. A healthy Crumpler is a good offensive weapon. Besides didn't Johnson have a one year contract and is a free agent?

Re: Crumpler released
Crumpler is only 31 and has 7 yrs exp. He could still be a very effective TE especially with a PB QB like Brees throwing to him over the middle. This guy has killed the Saints over the last several seasons with the Falcons. I would think a veteran minimum contract for 1 yr would be worth the shot.
