He may or may not be washed up... no one knows that. It wouldn't hurt to bring him in for a visit. There isn't much depth there at WR with all the free agents we have. Though he wouldn't be my first or maybe even 10th choice, but what's there to lose with a harmless visit. |

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
he is 4 years younger. while 31 beats 35 that is not the direction i would go. pass. lets start talking under 30 please. Go for broke and get
Bryant Johnson, 6-3, 216, 26, Arizona Cardinals IMO he is a perfect fit for the our style of offense. He can play 1,2 and the #3. 4 year deal and we are set. Would give Mech time to develope and god knows how good he could be with Drew throwing the ball. Both contracts would expire at the same time and then you pick which player you keep. He would keep Colston from getting beat up too. He has been trapped behind some pretty good WR. His contract might not be so bad either. Insentatives would be high but the base would be ok |

Tough call on him, but T-R and Papz make great points. He didn't have a good QB, and I think under Drew, he could have a great year. Heck, sign to a one year contract and go from there.

Moose wasnt even a contributer when they went to the Super Bowl. The guy is done.

As for Berrian, what do you mean by "he still has something left"? ??He's only 27!!. And I can see teams being more interested in him than Moose because he is young, and because no one really knows what he can do with an actual NFL QB since he's really never played with one, but it's not like he's been lighting it up. Last season was the best season of his career by far,and even though he was the primary receiver, and only had 71 catches, and didn't break 1000 yds. The prior 3 years, he was a non-factor, and actually was out-played by Muhammad in 2006 and 2005. Again, I'm not saying that Muhammad is great, but you can't say he's washed up and that he's been washed up for a while based on him playing the last 3 years for the Bears. |

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
What i mean by he has something left is the fact that he actually has something left and Moose doesnt. I know he is only 27, but he is not being looked down at because he played with the Bears. Moose is 35...is that not registering with you. I will be if you ask any Bears fan they will tell you he is washed up. just like last year, any real Saints fan would have told the people in atlanta that Horn was washed up. Moose played every game last year and only caught 40 passes. Do you think he would come in here and top that? of course he wouldnt. Do you think he would be anything better than our 4th option here? of course he wouldnt. Do you think that he thinks New Orleans is the ideal place for him? of course not. He is not someone that do anything good for this team.
yeah lets bring in a 35 year old receiver...thats just what we need. |
It's all in the reflexes.
