Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
he is 4 years younger. while 31 beats 35 that is not the direction i would go. pass. lets start talking under 30 please. Go for broke and get
Bryant Johnson, 6-3, 216, 26, Arizona Cardinals IMO he is a perfect fit for the our style of offense. He can play 1,2 and the #3. 4 year deal and we are set. Would give Mech time to develope and god knows how good he could be with Drew throwing the ball. Both contracts would expire at the same time and then you pick which player you keep. He would keep Colston from getting beat up too. He has been trapped behind some pretty good WR. His contract might not be so bad either. Insentatives would be high but the base would be ok |

Tough call on him, but T-R and Papz make great points. He didn't have a good QB, and I think under Drew, he could have a great year. Heck, sign to a one year contract and go from there.

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
We could look at Moose. We could all wear blue wigs and call ourselves Sally.
...or we could just go after DEFENSIVE free agents instead of building up a position that we don't really need much help at. Why do we still have these conversations? |

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
yes, defense is the major concern...but how can you say we dont have a need at WR...we only have 3 of them on the roster...and i am not counting Skyler Green because he is a fringe NFL player. We have Colston, Moore, and meachem...thats it...how can you say we dont have a need at WR?

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
Colston, Meachem and Moore should be a pretty solid trio if Moore keeps developing and Meachem gets rolling. Plus you have to think they'll bring back either Patten or Copper, and Reggie fills the role of everyman when it comes to catching passes and playing decoy. Then there's the simple fact that Brees is going to get the ball to any guy wearing the same color jersey, so I'm not terribly concerned about wideout. Tight end, that's another story.

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed
Lance Moore is a 5th receiver...not a 2nd or 3rd....same with Copper. As much as i like Meachem, he hasnt played yet. I think WR is a need more than anything other than CB, LB, and DT. I dont think its a position where the saints should spend a ton of money, they shouldnt trade for one, and they shouldnt take one in the first two rounds, but it is something that needs to be addressed. I like Wilford, i think he would be a great fit. I like the idea of drafting Jordy Nelson in the third round.
The WR position this offseason is not an end of the world thing, but its certainly not an afterthought either. |
It's all in the reflexes.
