Saints interested in Roy Williams?
Draft Daddy: Blog : 2008 NFL Draft News as it Breaks: Updated Regularly
The availability of wide receiver Roy Williams is also in hot debate with Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and New Orleans all interested. The Lions are looking for a second round pick and have told several clubs they would even consider a pick in next years' draft to get a deal done. |

Vilma, Williams, Fitz % the Saint?
The New York Jets' front office has denied any possible trades with Jacksonville for Laveranues Coles, but they clearly are shopping young linebacker Jonathan Vilma in Indianapolis. Interest in Vilma has been low, however, due to his troubled knee....
....Arizona is still out looking for trading partners for wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. They've had six teams very interested, with only two having serious cap room to make it possible. It seems the stumbling block is getting Fitz' to pay back some bonus money to make the trade a bit more cap friendly for Arizona, which is in dire need of cap space. The availability of wide receiver Roy Williams is also in hot debate with Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and New Orleans all interested. The Lions are looking for a second round pick and have told several clubs they would even consider a pick in next years' draft to get a deal done. DD.comment: Some have asked us about our sources for these Combine stories. While we can't go into too much detail, we will say this info is coming directly from the Combine and "only" N.F.L. team personnel and the 333 invited prospects are allowed to be present at inside the Combine -- no major media reporters (except NFL Network), fans sites or agents are allowed inside. So this isn't recycled news from other media outlet or web sites. Nor is it info agents are feeding us, hoping we'll hype their players. These are legit news stories and rumors coming directly from the Indianapolis Combine. Draft Daddy: Blog : 2008 NFL Draft News as it Breaks: Updated Regularly Williams for a second round pick? In a heart beat. Swapping firsts and the rest off the rounds? In a heart beat. Fitz and a truck load of cash and picks? Hmm have to think about that one. Graves acknowledged that he would like to renegotiate Fitzgerald's original six-year deal, but affirmed that the wide receiver would remain with the team regardless. Fitzgerald has two years remaining on his contract. Cardinals: Fitzgerald not going anywhere So mch for that one? Vilma for nothing and Roberston for picks? possible. This could get interesting. How bad is he? Roberson for a third if Williams can be had for a second? God I love this time of year |

Re: Saints interested in Roy Willia
Done, do it. I know we've already beaten this dead horse, but do it. Makes our offense that much better. I'd trade a second in next year's draft, or, depending on if we fill some defensive needs in FA/1st round, this year's 2nd round pick.
