All I have to say is excellent news! Then again, never believe what anyone coach says before free agency and the draft. Teams like to smoke screen, and our boy Payton is pretty good at that.

Damn skippy, I hope he means it. I love Deuce, and I love how well he has represented this franchise. He might be busted up, but I want him to get at least another shot. This team was so good when he was healthy.

This probably means that Deuce is restructuring his contract and giving the Saints even MORE money to work with...
I hope Deuce stays. We may loose Stecker, but if PT is the animal he flashed to us last season, then I'm happy with our backfield and we can really concentrate on D in the draft and FA. |
