Colvin released

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just saw on ESPN News that the Pats released Colvin. I don't know much about him. He got anything left in the tank?...

Re: Colvin released

if im right, i think after he signed with the pats, he got hurt and never fully recovered... i know his sacks have declined the past 2 or 3 years in a row and if NE is cutting him loose with their old LB core that they have, then this wouldnt be a good move for us

Re: Colvin released

hip injury a few years back hurt his play. As long as we sign the guy with the idea of using him in packages then ok. I think he be a good addition if we get a good OLB for him to tutor.

Isn't that why we hav coaches? On defence we need to get guys who can step in and make a difference on the field right away.

Re: Colvin released

I wonder if we went and looked back at old threads from the past 4 years (around this time of year) if they would say the same thing over and over and over.............

Re: Colvin released

I dont think Colvin solves any of our problems. Although, over-age, injury prone linebackers seem to be the theme for the Saints thus far.
