That moves tells me that we are not looking at Mike "Burner" Turner. Would like to have seen us look really hard at him as a replacement for Duece. Guessing the coaching staff is confident in Strec,Bush and PT running for 50 yrds a game again this year...

Re: Stecker agrees to new deal with the Saint
The Saints agreed to re-sign tailback Aaron Stecker to a 1-year, $1.4 million contract, according to his agent Ronald Slavin. Slavin said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also offered Stecker a deal, but the offers were close, so Stecker preferred to stay put.

Re: Stecker agrees to new deal with the Saint
I like this signing - it gives us room to maneuver (no, I didn't say manure). What happens if we let him go to Tampa, but can't sign a better back in FA? Then we're really on the hook, burning draft picks on unknowns. But with him signed, we're not in that ugly situation.
So what do we do now? Try to uprade him? Sure. But we've got insurance if we can't. We're not in a bind if it doesn't pan out. And if we succeed, he's trade bait, we know other teams are interested. I like it. It's sensible, IMO. |
can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.
