Another Louisiana Native...
This is kind of a reach though ,but how good would it be to bring Warrick Dunn back home to Louisiana. I know we have a scat back in Reggie, but how awesome it would be to have him replace Reggie instead of Stecker?

Deuce, Reggie, Thomas, Stecker, and Karney... I'll pass. I'm more than comfortable with that rotation.

I'm with Papz. And even if Deuce is not ready to go I still wouldn'ät bring another back in. Let Thomas do the job.

Re: Another Louisiana Native...
If the Saints are in the market for another running back...draft one in the 3rd or later rounds (not the 4th as it went to the Jets for Vilma). Personally, I liked to see either Matt Forte (Tulane) or Benjarvis Green-Ellis (Ole Miss) in black and gold.

Re: Another Louisiana Native...
That fourth round pick for Vilma is next year's pick (not this year's). And it's a conditional pick, i.e. it could upgrade to a third.

Re: Another Louisiana Native...
Are you sure? How could give a conditional draft pick, yet pay up front before the conditions are tested? Doesn't make sense. Are you saying the conditional pick is erroneous, that it's just a flat fourth round pick, no conditons?

Well, I don't believe you. I just did a little google'ing, and if it's bad media, then it's consistent bad media (including the Picayune). All of the links below say the trade is a conditional pick, in 2009. So if you've got something otherwise to contest these, I'd like to see or hear about them. But until then, I'm sticking to 2009.
