There's no tampering in denying they are trying to get him via trade or admitting they are trying to get him via trade. Tampering would be if they talk directly to Shockey.

I may be wrong... but this may be a draft day trade in the making...
Tobias, Loomis said that he did not want to speak about a player who is under contract. I took that to mean...no visable tampering!

Simoneau the best lb on the team??!! hhaahahaha what a riot, the guy is a bum. seriously, there is a reason Loomis is a GM cause he sure wouldn't make it as a coach with that brilliant deduction.

Sounds like a lot of pre draft day smoke screen stuff if you ask me... Why give potental trade partners any important info like "your starting CB/RB wont' be ready til midseason ect ect".

Dude, if he thinks Simoneau was the best LB on the team he must have done a lot of crack with Rick James!! Sorry, but this kind of talent evaluation makes me angry!

I'm kind of encouraged by the talk about Deuce actually. I know the 15th is coming and he's got bonus money in the balance due to be paid then. I just hope the team doesn't do something stupid like cut him before we see if his recovery is a plus or minus.

Can never have enough linebackers. They thought Simoneau played very well, the coaches would agree that he played the best out of all the linebackers last year. Intention was all along to bring him back. Can play multiple positions, will be valuable to team.

Whatever the Saints staff is smoking we all need to stay away from.

Simoneau was awful. Couldn't get off blocks. Out of position much of the time. Missed tackles when he got into position. Couldn't cover. To quote Coach Mora

He's not gonna tear down Simoneau when he can possibly throw him in a trade package or if they plan to use him as a backup or on special teams.
