Really have my doubts that McAllister can really come back. You hear so many other athlete's explaining what actually happens to their flexibilty and strenght after surgeries on both Knees even if they have the heart. I think PT is going to shine this year if given the Reps. We still need a RB for insurance that has breakaway speed and toughness to match. Forte would be the man for the future. If not Him they are going to pick up another RB they may have tagged already. When McA whet down last year the writting was on the wall already. You could sense their desperation and they could not commit to one back and had the RB by comittee thing going on that to me was ineffective and their reacord reflected their lack of confidence

Re: Do Saints Draft A Rb (forte'?)
I feel that you can never have too many running backs. But, I am not sure the Saints need to draft one. There are only five roster spots for them, and at least four are spoken for. (Bush, Stecker, Thomas, and Karney). Throw in Deuce and there is your five. The Saints also have Branch, Barclay, and Dudley hanging around for injury insurance. I would say no to drafting another back and take my chances with the guys already on the roster, and possibly bring in a couple free agents camp bodies who could possibly crack the practice squad roster.

If Deuce does come back he's almost guarenteed to miss at least half the season.

We have a lot of bodies, just no bellcows.
