Mike Jenkins pick 10?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The New Orleans Saints led the charge among NFL teams that were in attendance for South Florida's Pro Day last week. You've probably heard what Mike Jenkins did that day....

cgc after reading that article i think id almost rather have DRC or Talib, as far as talent goes i think theyre all pretty close, but ill take the 6'1+ CBs over a 5'10 or 5'11 CB any day of the week

Re: Mike Jenkins pick 10?

Your probably right....Looks like more and more teams are going to Colston type recievers making the match up more favorable for the tall corners.

Re: Mike Jenkins pick 10?

It has been said on the boards 10-15 times now:
Jenkins might be the best corner, or it might be DRC, or another,
BUT, no way any of those players is a legit top ten pick

Go BPA or trade down
You draft Rivers or Ellis, they will start. A CB? not right away, not when we need them now

This has been the Saints' thinking for years... And that's exactly why we've never had an elite or shutdown corner.
