FORGOTTEN MAN: CB Greg Fassitt
Greg Fassitt (born April 4, 1985 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American Football cornerback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Grambling State. He played in 32 games, recording 110 tackles, 7 interceptions, and 31 passes defensed.
Position: CB 5'11'' 185lbs Grambling Age: 22 1 Year Grambling State Tigers - News Former Grambling State cornerback Greg Fassitt made a favorable impression this past weekend during a three-day rookie minicamp with the Chicago Bears. The New Orleans, La. native was one of six undrafted rookie free agents signed by the Bears after camp wrapped on Sunday and will have the opportunity to participate in the 2007 Super Bowl runner-ups full squad minicamp on May 18-20 in Lake Forest, Ill. Fassitt was one of 40 rookies brought in by the Bears this past weekend and managed to catch eye of head coach Lovie Smith and his defensive staff. The May 2006 graduate said it was an eye-opening experience this weekend and described his trek to the state of Illinois. “One of the biggest things I’ve noticed right away is the terminology,” said Fassitt. “Some of things I picked over the years are worded differently so I had to quickly adjust to what was taught.” A three-year starter at cornerback for Grambling State from 2003 to 2006, Fassitt also took note of how things are conducted in the NFL. “It’s all business from the moment you enter the facility,” he said. “You have to stay focused all the time and put forth your best effort when you’re on the practice field and in the classroom.” Fassitt will have a little more than a week to prepare for the full squad workouts and is working diligently to remain in tip-top shape. The Bears provided Fassitt with their offseason program that covers everything from daily nutritional habits to running. Once the full squad minicamp wraps up on May 20, Fassitt will turn his attention to preparing for the team’s summer training camp that’s slated to kick off in July. |

Not impressed. Most if not all INT's were from no name QB's on bad and horrible passes. Bears can keep him if they like. If he was that good someone would have spent at least a 7th round pick on him if they truely wanted to tack a chance on him.

Actually I don't think you can add Anwar to the list. Phillips played for a bigger school, lead the team in something and actually has some stats to his name.
I think if you were to compare the two Anwar I am more impressed iwth Anwar than Fassitt so edge New Orleans. LOL. |

Hey just remember the Grambling State corner back that was not drafted and went on to be a HOF with the Dallas Cowboys – the name is EVERSON WALLS so don’t let small school competition fool you.

I say we will do better if we have to with Anwar than this guy. |

Remember Pierre Thomas?
Fassitt came from a small school and is just a second year player. I know the kid is just a camp body, but today he got his due on this board and you never know. |
