this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think I would still go with Devery. Devery is a role WR. The deep threat making plays over 50 yeards. Jones doesn't have one....

...again, if the OC doesn't send Jones 50 yards down the field AND the QB throws the ball to him, he's never going to have any 50 yard catches. The only reason Devery caught 1 pass for over 50 yards last year is because he dropped the other 5-6 Brees threw to him. Personally, I don't see the relevance in who's got the longest reception, but I do see relevance in a WR often dropping easy balls that cost the team 3rd downs and kill drives. |
