2nd Annual Smashed mock draft

Ok I did this last year with some serious pats fans and you guys got a kick out of the mock draft we came up with in 2007 so I put my liver on the line one more time and this is the mock we came up with for the Saints in 2008.

1. Atlanta Falcons - Chris Long, DE/OLB, Virginia
Why? John Abraham! Cut him and his cap goes to the #1. Now the have a book end to go with Jamaal Anderson. Miami does not charge a kings ransom for the pick either.

2 St. Louis Rams - Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State

3. Miami Dolphins - Jake Long, OT, Michigan

4. Oakland Raiders - Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC

6. New York Jets - Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy State

7. New England Patriots
- Keith Rivers, OLB, USC

8. Saints trade up - - Glenn Dorsey, L.S.U., DT, 6015, 297, 5.05
Baltimore Cost 100 pts. = OT Stinch
Why Stinch? The saints have faith in their OT from the last two years.
Baltimore still gets Matt Ryan and also address the need at OT. WIN WIN

#40 500 - Trade back with GB
for 56 and swapping 60 for 91
Why? Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware or Sam Baker, OT, USC

56 - CB - Justin King, Penn St., 5107, 192, 4.31

60 traded to Chicago
for picks 70 and 110
Why? Chad Henne, QB, Michigan

65 - TE - Martellus Bennett, Texas A&M, 6063, 253, 4.80
saints trade up with Rams, #70 and Bullocks for #65 and an undisclosed draft pick in 2009.
previously Heath Benedict, RIP

78 - CB/FS - Antwaun Molden, Eastern Kentucky, 6007, 195, 4.40
91 - RB Kevin Smith, Central Florida, 6011, 217, 4.43
110 - DT - Nick Hayden, Wisconsin, 6039, 291, 5.17
146 - WR/KR - Arman Shields, Richmond, 6008, 194, 4.37
178 - DE/OLB Andy Studebaker, Wheaton, 6030, 251, 4.49,
218 - CB/FS - Brandon Carr, Grand Valley State, 6001, 205, 4.40

Three CB! Remember one thing here 2 are Tweeners.
Kevin starts at FS
