Re: # 1 linebacking corps of all-time
that pittsburgh announcer is an idiot...he said the dome patrol wasn't any good, because they never won a playoff game...does he realize just how bad the saints offense was during those years? the dome patrol was the only reason they had those 6 winning seasons

I love that, my favorate player all time is Pat Swilling and it was great to see Sam Mills R.I.P. Sam. As for that pittsburgh announcer what an idiot. Also major props to Roger Craig for showing respect by saying if we had an offense we would have won 2 or 3 superbowls in the 80's

.. you look at that video, and today, 20 years later, they still look awesomely scary.
What Randy Cross said was true. I met many a visiting football player the Saturday before the game, and they'd always say they never got hit as hard anywhere else: "nothin' but brothas trying to take ya head off", a 40whiner once told me |

Re: # 1 linebacking corps of all-time
Roger Craig speaks the truth. The Saints would have at least won a couple if they had an offense. I know in recent years Saints fans have made it a point to go after Rick Venturi, and now Gary Gibbs is catching it. But if anyone cares to remember what bad coaching was all about, just look at those years with Carl Smith. How can an offense be so bad with an above average QB, very good front line, very good running backs, solid TE's and solid WR's? Well the answer was Carl Smith. A man who got so little out of a nice group of talent. What a shame...

Mora sunk the saints before he left with his lover boy. Gutting the defensive coaching staff and keeping him. I am telling you there is no reason to love Mora! He burned his bridges here in NO. He did it out of spite for the team and the city. That or he had a total melt down. Thats possible. What a flake those last to years. |
