this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; 2 Days till Duece is loose ??? Man I believe this biggest move of the off season... If we don't resign Duece, it may change everything we do in the draft and/or free agency......

Re: 2 Days till Duece learns his fate
For that very reason I say the Saints are going to give him his bonus. Think about this, say a team like Buffalo or Denver wants to move up a spot or two. With Deuce gone the overall thinking would be the Saints would draft Mendenhall. Buffalo and Denver would then be more inclined to not make a deal. With Deuce still aboard, no one can really predict how they would draft. So my thinking would be to pay the money to Deuce, just in case of that possible trade scenario. The Saints could move down one or two spots, pick up another draft pick, and still get their guy. Anyway, just a thought...

I beleive at this point I would try and get something for Duece or let Him go. This is the reality of injury in the NFL. Duece does not need the money and sad to say I think He is done for. Need some new blood and fresh legs. Duece was a grest Saint but never had the speed even in His prime. I think the Saints should address their CB situation at the utmost priority with the first pick and go after Forte secondly. I think a good DT can still be had in the later rounds
