i think chevis could make a nice transition to safety... ali highsmith would add a lil depth at LB but i dont think he will be anything special..

I think Highsmith as a 5th rounder would be the best combination of need and fit for the Saints. Jackson and Zenon are not our type of CB. Steltz may fit because he fits the same profile as the rest of the Saints safeties, slow with good hands. We already have 5 RB's fighting for spots so Hester doesnt make sense. Flynn is no better than Palko so forget him. I saw McShay's last mock that had Doucet as a 3rd rounder and he would certainly make sense for the Saints. He doesnt fill a need, but he is certainly an upgrade over Moore and Copper.

Either Zenon or Jackson would make excellent FS imo.

MAYBE Jackson would, but Zenon isnt even 180 pounds. There is no way any team would be comfortable with him being the last line of defense in a one on one situation with any RB in the league. He will never be a FS. And for the record, i dont think Jackson will either.

Re: other than dorsey which lsu player
Well though I can't argue with the measureables, both Zenon and Jackson weigh more than 190 pounds. Gibril Wilson supposely weights 209 pounds and that's after entering the NFL's strength and conditioning program... so both players should be able to gain 10 pounds once entering the NFL. Both have good ball skills which should serve well if they had to make the transition to FS which I suggested. To each their own.

I personally know Early Doucet, he's a class act & would be a great addition to whichever team he goes to. I'd easily select him in the 2nd.

Ealy doucet, Craig Stelts, Jacob Hester, Chevis Jackson, & even Matt Flynn as a back up. Hell, let's just draft the whole damn team & let em fight for jobs.
