From Monday Morning QB:

"This one really surprises me, and at first I didn't think it was true, but New Orleans is serious about trading into the top four -- preferably for LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey but not only for Dorsey. Wish I could tell you the other apple of their eye, but I don't know who he is."

Also of interest:

"The Saints and Jeremy Shockey's rookie-year offensive coordinator, Sean Payton, are still hot for the tight end. It won't get done if the Giants insist on receiving in-his-prime, 25-year-old safety Roman Harper (a 2006 second-round pick), plus the 40th pick in the draft. Harper's the best player in New Orleans' secondary, and to trade him and a second-round pick for an injury-plagued tight end who will be 28 on opening day is not an equitable deal. If the Giants want, say, Harper and a sixth-round pick for Shockey, or a second- and sixth-rounder for him, then I could see the trade getting done."

I really hope they go out & get Dorsey. We need a disruptor at the DT position & Dorsey is non-stop for four quarters.

We can't give up Harper. I'm all for trading up and getting Dorsey.

Ditto.

Bring on Shockey and a late round pick then call it a day.

I just don't see how we move up for Dorsey and trade for Shockey. It probably has to be one or the other. We only have one second round pick this year. I agree though. You don't take away one of your best players on a below average defense in Harper to add a TE to your above average offense.

I agree with you stockman, I think it's one or the other, and I sure as hell hope we go and get Dorsey. I'm sold that he's the best defensive player in a draft that has some very good defensive players.

my thinking it might be chris long.. with will smith becoming a FA and long being a high motor guy with great character.. have a crazy pass rush on 3rd downs
