DORSEY COUNTER - 4 days Till he is a SAINT?
ProFootballTalk.com - FINS, JAKE LONG NEARING A DEAL?
Dolphins close to a contract with their number one Long! This could ensure Dorsey is available at number 2 for the Saints to pull the trigger on talks they have had with the Rams. Swap one's and give up a 2 and we get this: ProFootballTalk.com - FINS, JAKE LONG NEARING A DEAL? |

Re: DORSEY COUNTER - 4 days Till he is a SAINT?
If it’s true that the Fins intend to pay less money to the No. 1 pick than the No. 1 pick from a year ago received, we’d be shocked if Jake Long is the guy, absent a change in agents. If Tom Condon wouldn’t allow his name to appear on a six-year deal for late first-rounder Benjamin Watson of the Patriots several years ago, there’s no way that Condon would attach his Hancock to a contract that represents a reduction in the value of being the first overall selection in the NFL draft.
So we tend to think that this is a ploy from the Dolphins to get Gholston to tell CAA’s Ben Dogra that whatever the Fins are offering had better be accepted. Now. Hmmmmmm.... |

I also think its a money issue as well for some teams to hang there hopes on a gamble for a player that may or not pan out and pay him that kind of money in a week class??? |

The other catch is you paid all this money to a player that turns out to be a bust and we all know that happens.
This will be great for us though. Dolphins sign there guy on time of the draft and it'll speed up us signing our our draft pick Dorsey - LOL. |
