Re: lito, shockey or our 2nd
the saints biggest concern is defense.....if we could pick up a proven lito sheppard we would much improve our defense and still have the 1st round pick to secure ellis or rivers perhaps....if neither one of them falls to us i look for us to pick a CB and trade the second pick for shockey

If the eagles would go for it i wouldnt mind seeing us land ellis and lito with our top 3 picks.

Re: lito, shockey or our 2nd
i could die happy...we have the 8th pick in the second round i believe...without being certain.....thats very enticing....i believe that eric johnson and billy miller are good enough at TE that we dont even need shockey...he cant block as well as our TEs and his catching is not significantly better than either of them....his speed would be welcome but that isnt enough to trade for him i think...dont get me wrong...i would love to see lito or shockey in a saints jersey....i just think it makes too much sense to trade for lito straight up if the opportunity presents itself

me too because im not sure how well mike will come back this year. that isnt a quick heeling injury and usually takes at least a year and a half to be 100%.
