what... you cant be serious.. #1 mendenhall was PTs backup for 2 years b/c he was a true freshman and then a sophomore while Thomas was a Jr. and Sr. respectively... #2 its not like Mendenhall didnt get playing time as a sophomore.. he had 78 carries with an 8.2 ypc average while as a SR, Thomas had 131 carries with a 5.2 ypc avg.. Thomas had a little over 50 more carries then Mendenhall as a 3 year starting SR while mendenhall was a sophomore still learning.. #3 Mendenhall was the best RB at ILL when thomas was there... thomas just had more experience... plain n simple... |
