Re: Now what? Round 5

Erin Henderson has fallen a would a pretty good pick up. Also Vince Hall with the second pick in the 5th round or the 6th round. DJ Parker, S, Va Tech is a ball hawking S.

Re: Now what? Round 5

Henderson is someone I've looked over before, and so is Hall. Both are possibilities. But I'm not sure about Parker.

D.J. Parker: S Virginia Tech 6-0, 192 40 Time: 4.60

BIOGRAPHY: Full-time starter the past two seasons after seeing extensive action with the first team as a sophomore. Senior-year totals included 59/3/7 after 41/2/9 as a junior.

POSITIVES: Instinctive safety with marginal size/speed numbers. Reads the action, effectively patrols centerfield, and remains disciplined. Solid range to the sidelines and works well with cornerbacks.

NEGATIVES: Lacks closing and recovery speed as well as quickness in his game. Not real physical or aggressive defending the run.

ANALYSIS: Parker is a solid college defender with limited upside at the next level. He could be used as a backup in a zone system.

PROJECTION: Middle Sixth Round

Ali Highsmith

you mean a safety that runs 4.6. Whats wrong with that. He fits the build.

I've watched Highsmith in coverage and free space and that is definitely not his strong point.

yeah, I just think we can find a spot for him. He can play multiple positions. He probally would excel on special teams.

Woodyard is an interesting prospect he has the true potential to move to SS.

I don't know half of those names, Hagan, so I'd have to at least read up on them before I could comment.
