Re: Best/Worst of the CBs
One interesting thing is that some teams have cbs on both lists. With all the great discussions that all we need is a great pass rush and all our problems with giving up the long play will end.
Townsend from Pitt had a great pass rush and he gave up 5.1 ypa. Taylor from Pitt had no help from the front 7. It didnt matter what cb was back there will all that time the qb had he gave up 12.7 ypa. Jammer and Cromartie benefited from a great pass rush. You could put your grandmother as a cb behind the Chargers front 7 they give up 4.5 and 7 ypa. Florence gives up 15.8 ypa for the Chargers whose grandmother did they suit up to rush the qb. Talent at the cb position is as important as talent in the trenches or you wouldnt have teams on both lists. It is great to have a pass rush but it is equally important for a cb to watch the wr more than the qb. JD got burned on deep passes because he got burned on play action. |
