Meachem is the guy that is going to hold the door open for Henderson when he finally leaves the saints. There is no reason he can not duplicate Hendersons numbers. Come on look at last years numbers.
20 catches for 409 yds. average of 20.5. long was 54 and 3 TDs. How many drops? what 6? LOL it is joke guys.
I do not see any WR on this team outside of Colston and Patten as untouchable. I am very comfortable with a complete turn over after those two.

I think that Lance is going to be out of a job. Even before Arrington was drafted, his receiver position is threatened by Meachum. If Meachum is healthy, then he's gonna play, and he's gonna play receiver.

Those were Lance's two roles last year. I don't think he's gonna have one this year.

My thoughts on this:

We're pretty hyped over two guys who have yet to see an NFL regular season snap. I'll just be cautiously optimistic for now.

Practice squad requires less than one year of active service and less than 9 games in that one year.

Moore has been active in 20 games over the last 2 years.

No practice squad. The Saints have to keep him or cut him. Those are the only options.

Arrington could be put on the practice squad obviously. However, dude would have to clear waivers. Someone is likely to pick him up.

It isn't so easy to change positions. A lot of training happens well before one arrives at the NFL level, the learning curve is only going to be longer for those who don't have that training.

Agreed. Keep in mind Arrington is a 7th round pick and is by no means a lock to make the team. Granted we traded a pick next year to get him but even 4th round picks (Antonio Pittman) arent guaranteed a roster spot. I like Arrington's hands and route running can be improved with coaching. The problem that I see is seperation. Colston had an advantage because of his size. He can use his body to create seperation between the ball and the defender. Meachem has the speed to create that seperation. Im not so sure that Arrington will be able to do that at the next level.

I would love for someone to be able to replace Devery but keep in mind that in 06 Devery was key to the success of our offense. You have to have the threat of someone who can stretch the defense to give the underneath routes room to work. If you do not have enough speed on the outside to at least put a safety into a backpedal of the snap, your passing lanes for your QB narrow and the room for your possession receivers (Colston) decreases. Either Meachem needs to provide that threat for us or Devery will again make the team.
