Re: Roy Williams wants OUT!!!
I was watching NFL network yesterday and everyone was talking about how Williams is a big hitter and only specializes in run support now, so I really don't know how I would feel if he can't defend against the passing game of any opposing team.

Do you think it is because of the system he is in with Wade Phillips?

SS? then ship harper to the NYG for Shockey? Having almost no picks in 2009? Our 2nd or 3rd is in limbo and we lost a 6 already. Boy would that be the ultimate gamble. I would say no unless we could get a player involved.
If we do hope in the 2009 draft we go FS in round 1, William Moore, FS, Missouri Myron Rolle, FS, Florida St. Then the FS and SS postions would be set. Can Williams play FS? |

Re: Roy Williams wants OUT!!!
Hey Saintsfan, I don't really know, they were talking like his skills wouldn't translate to any other team in pass defense. I was kind of surprised because it seemed like they were dissing him. I think Williams is like Harper and I do think Harper is alot better in pass defense, yeah he got burned a few times last year but really had no assistance from Jason, Mister David if you're nasty. lol
Now that's funny right there! |

Roy Williams - one of the most overrated safeties of all time; weak in pass coverage; best known for his horse collar tackle which is illegal
I'll pass... not to mention he makes a lot of money. |

Re: Roy Williams wants OUT!!!
NO, do not trade for this man!
You wouldnt think this but Roy Williams has been the highest paid player on the cowboys up until TO finally started to get his bouns money. Even then Roy only came up short by 1.7 million. *Roy made 9.3 million this past season* You guys think Fred Thomas was bad, or Jason David is horrible in coverage....you havent seen anything until you see this man not blitzing. The Horse Collar Tackle is the only thing he is good at, and thats now been banned by the NFL. That tackle should give someone insight into just how often he gets beat, as he is often pulling someone down from behind. |
You say that were nuts for pulling for them, you call them sorry, you wonder why we deal with them year after year. Well New Orleans is like no other city in the world, and no fans are anything like saint fans.

Re: Roy Williams wants OUT!!!
No thanks, Williams is a liability in coverage to say the least. Big hitter yes but don't we have enough guys on our D getting burned already?
