News on MM..........
Saints CB Mike McKenzie (ACL surgery) will not take the field until at least training camp and probably longer.
Jason David is expected to line up with the first team while Jason Craft and Randall Gay rotate from the base slot to nickel with Usama Young and Aaron Glenn backing up. Rookie Tracy Porter isn't expected to see much time with the first unit. Fantasy Football - news, projections, rankings, draft guide - Rotoworld.com MM could begin the season on PUP. |

Re: News on MM..........
If Usama is supposed to be so good, why is it taking him so long to crack the starting lineup? He has to be better than David. I see a lot of other corners come in the league and play at a high level a lot faster than he has done. Just a thought.

usama was really raw coming out of college.. he has alot of athletic ability but he hasnt exactly got the technique down.. i think he could be the nickle next year but not this year...

I fear the same thing. I am scared M&M wont make it back into the starting line up before game 8. Young will get a lot of playing time just like last year. David may start the season but he will be holding for dear life to keep it. this is a big year for the CB position, this unit must develop or we will be talking about Nnamdi Asomugha again next year. Hmm that would not be so bad. Cut David and let Young, Porter, Gay and M&M slug it out for the #2. actually I like this idea.

Re: News on MM..........
Euph,
We'll have a pass rush. If Weary and Mathis held it down when we were sack monsters, then we will be fine as long as Vilma and Morgan stay healthy. The D line is going to wreak havoc for sure. As for MM, I can't see him doing the cuts and backpeddling this soon. Maybe he will rotate in around mid season. I'd start off with Glenn and Gay/Craft at CB and rotate the others in, especially Porter. MM and Porter will amke a good pair next season. I've blown out both ACLs and it's too soon for MM. |

Re: News on MM..........
3rd Down is lining up with the 1st team because Payton wants Tracy Porter to feel he needs to earn the job. He's going to be starting come Week 1.
