A look at New Orleans offense for the '08 season
A look at New Orleans offense for the '08 season • Southern Hospitality - FOX Sports Blogs
Deuce McAllister is the key to this offense. Without him for most of the season last year defenses were able to key in on what the Saints wanted to do. His pounding the defenses in '06 kept them honest and wore them out. McAllister is a load to bring down. He's a very powerful runner with just enough speed to compliment it. If he can comeback from his second knee injury in three years, he'll help the Saints get back to that high powerd offense we remember. |

Re: A look at New Orleans offense for the '08 season
no doubt and his health is the biggest and perhaps only question mark of our offense....with him in we are so talented across the board but with him out it takes away from our power running game...he brings more than a versatile running game on sundays....he brings a voice in the huddle and a talent that is unrivaled in our RBs...he is the glue that holds our offense together and i cant find another running back in the league that compliments his QB so well

In another thread ( Saints still have issues at RB, TE and DB ), the prospect of the 08 season without Deuce was considered. Unlike many others, I don't have a problem with Deuce sitting out most of 08, if this means he can regain his true form and come back with a good chance for success. What bothers me the most are two things: Bringing him back too soon and re-injuring the knee and then he hangs it up. Also, why not be prepared with a powerful backup in the event that he can't go Game One versus Tampa, so that we can start 08 off with a win. |
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
