I have to at least see the first game against Seatte before I say our defense is that bad. I have major concerns at this point though. |

It was a major regression. I try to stay positive but last night scared me to death. We truly looked like a bottomfeeder. I\'ve always said this defense will need time to gel, but I fully expected to see minor improvements weekly. Even a slight regression wouldn\'t have worried me, but last night was MAJOR REGRESSION! On a positive note, it appears many teams will look at us and now think easy win, and we may be able to surprise some folks. I still say 9-7 is a minimum, but I\'m a little nervous about that now. I don\'t think this defense will be as bad as last year\'s, but I\'ve yet to see evidence that it will be much better. |

I didn\'t get to see the game last night but I did get to listen to the 1st half on WWL Radio. The announcers for the game kept indicating that Brooks was having some problems throwing the ball low. And although the receivers and backs caught the passes he was not accurate. Was there any thing to this?

Let me say this - if tweeky and Billy are this reserved and upset, then there is TRULY reason to worry. I\'m really down on this team right now, and my confidence in Haslett is rock bottom. He better show me something this year - otherwise I will simply believe that he\'s lucky to have found McCarthy, but is otherwise incompitent. After all, he was a big motivation in getting rid of Glover, (Johnson - indirectly due to front office issues), Clemons, and Knight. The defense has gotten worse every year he\'s been here and now it will be the downfall of this team - not good for a \"young defensive-minded\" coach.
