Some serious KoolAid drinking: Saints/Giants for HFA?

It's really early for must win games, but could the Saints actually be there in the next 3 weeks?

There's a distinct possibility that the top of the NFC may end up being a 2 horse race. On October 17th the Saints get their one and only shot at the vaunted NY Giants.

Could this game between potentially unbeaten NFC foes end up being the deciding game for HFA?

Considering that it could be for the difference between the wind swept plains of the Meadowlands and the friendly enclosed confines on the SuperDome in January for all the marbles, how critical is will the game against the Giants be?

Tell me what you think.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

I think you are correct... Obviously a lot can change, but so far, the Saints already took care of the Eagles, and the other 3 teams that seem to be legit in the running are the Giants, the Falcons, and the Vikings (not that I think the Vikings are all that, it's just that someone has to win that division, may as well be the dome team just in case ). The NFC West will be of no consequence for HFA. The Saints don't play the Vikings, so it is out of their control, but they do play the Falcons and the Giants. Beating the Jets would be great, because the Saints will be 4-0, but it is much more important to beat the Giants and the Falcons: the Falcons to win the division, and to gain HFA over the Giants.

Kind of "disturbing" to look at the rest of the schedule...
The Saints will play:
The Rams
The Dolphins
The Redskins
The Cowboys
The Bucs twice.
The Panthers twice.

Of course, "any given Sunday"... but as it today, tell me honestly you do NOT see 8 wins there.

Wow, that looks pretty good. Even if we slip a game or two, we probably split with Atlanta (worst case) and win either the Jets/Giants/Pats game.

11 wins looks probable now, barring key or excessive injuries.

the next 4 games are going to be tough, we could literally be 3-4 and wondering what the f just happened! Don't get to far ahead. HFA is WAY to far ahead.

True but @Philly/@Buffalo > Jets/Giants at home.

I'd say absolute worst case is 2-2 over the next 4, especially since 3 of them are in the dome with a bye week sandwiched in.

I agree with you danno
but I would like to see them take 3 of the next 4 and the NYG being one of them
that would make me feel much better

The probable demise of the Bucs and the apparent demise of the Panthers sure fits nicely into our plans. Just keep playin' hard and FINISH games.
