Crow... the other other white meat
I've been critical of the Shockey trade. I'm not ready to evaluate it for "value", but the guy is a great addition to the team. I was at least somewhat wrong about that.
I was VERY critical getting rid of Mike Karney in favor of Heath Evans. I was completely wrong about this as well. The guy comes to play and can do things I've always wanted to see out of our FB. GREAT addition!! I was critical of the cutting of Kevin Houser in favor of our new long snapper. I was wrong. Kyle has some serious velocity and accuracy in his snaps. It's making a difference. I was amazed and dismayed by the moves to acquire Moorestead. Man, I was wrong wrong wrong about that as well. The guy has completely changed the complexion of our ST play. I predicted a 9-7 finish to this season. I THINK (and hope) that I am wrong! As an aside, good thing I am not in charge of the front office for our Saints and I resolve to quit being snarky about Payton's play calling. The team is playing well in all phases and I look forward to our next big challenge. |

Crow is best when slow cooked so it doesn't dry out as much.

Kudos to you Frenzy.
Anyone else? Might as well get it all out in one thread. ![]() |

Re: Crow... the other other white meat
I'll have some crow, but just a wing for the amount of hate that I've piled on the Starcap twins. Still, one decent game in like 3 years doesn't exactly get them out of the dog house.
I'll take a drumbstick for panning the Morestead pick. He's been huge on KOs and Ps. |

Re: Crow... the other other white meat
He is 12th in net average. Only punted 10 times which equates to 20% of his punts land inside the 20 and only 7 of his 10 punts have been returned for 8.4 yard average. tied for 4th with touchbacks on kickoffs. His stock is rising.
