Payton should maybe put him in the backfield with PT or Bell more, then throw him those swing passes with the receivers blocking, those plays are money with his speed. Doesn't seem like we've been calling many of those lately.

Why give him the ball if he is going to fumble it!!! He wasn't holding the ball correctly for where he was running. He should have rapped it up with both arms going through the line. So called RB and a pro should know better than that. And its not this one fumble... its been this way all freakin season. He has more fumbles than TD's already.

Sure a lot of teams would have him... then let them. Give us a good draft pick and we can call it a day.

I agree, but Reggie doesn't look as fast as he used to. He's still a bit faster than Pierre and Bell, but has definitely lost a step.

I think Pierre is actually more dangerous on screens and flat passes than Reggie, because of his hands, vision, and ability to break tackles. I bet Bell would also be dangerous in space, but I don't know how reliable his hands are in the passing game.

Sean will not let Bush leave, he loves the speed. Bush will take a pay cut, I think in general he’s been pressurized into a position he’s clearly not built for, so with that said he will get it together. He had some decent runs and after the fumble he held the ball with two hands. The coach is using him correctly because you can’t deny the home run factor. He reminds me of Eric Metcalfe not a true running back but some one who can break a game open at anytime. So his pay will reflect that during contract talks. I also think T. Holiday of LSU will have that same issue. and your points are on point Neugey he have to have the money plays for his speed

sure reggie can do things with the ball...but pierre is just as efficient and he doesnt fumble. payton took reggie out after that fumble and pierre gutted the jets D on the next drive. After this year his salary takes a huge jump and that money can be used elsewhere. id rather us use the money to keep evans and brown on the o-line.

Well Pierre did fumble, the only difference was that his was recovered. Look at Bush's rushing stats. He had a 6.1 ypc average against one of the best defences in the leauge and made smart cuts to the outside. He is getting stuffed when there is nowhere to run, otherwise he's looking better this year.

agreed. he started off the game w/ 3 carries for 39 yards. he was running the ball well, he's just gotta work on ball security. he'll get it together as the year goes on. i'm not worried about him.

anybody notice his next carry after the fumble? it was a nice, tough, 4 or 5 yard carry, but, he was holding onto the ball for dear life!

All of this will go away if you quit calling him a running back. Let him line up as a slot receiver.
