I think Pierre is actually more dangerous on screens and flat passes than Reggie, because of his hands, vision, and ability to break tackles. I bet Bell would also be dangerous in space, but I don't know how reliable his hands are in the passing game. |

Re: Decoy or No Decoy
3 fumbles in 4 games is attrocious
he only had 3 fumbles all last season i love reggies play making ability but recently it just makes me nervous to see him touch the ball reggie fumbles every 12 carries....thats a terrible ratio when players like LT are fumbling every 1000 or so carries....i know hes not LT but the fumble to carry ratio is what is going to cost him his job on punt returns he calls for fair catches and then lets them bounce even further into our territory......when you fair catch a punt, you dont get hit but he still moves away from it i would say move him to WR but im afraid we'll target him too much and he'll fumble there too for now he needs to take his touches sparingly until he learns how to carry the ball on another note, his first carry after the fumble he didnt try to juke or spin or cut.....he carried the ball with both arms and went straight forward....im all for that until he gets into open space, then do what you do reggie |

Re: Decoy or No Decoy
Opposing teams are driving 6 when Bush lines up in the backfield. Because of this, he's either forced to run E-W, which is death, or in passing situations, he's forced to stay and block rather than be an option out of the backfield. He's shown to be pretty decent at pass protection, but that's not a very good reason to pay this guy close to top 5 rb money.
Bush earns $2.6 million this season and is supposed to earn $8.0 million in 2010. $8.0 MILLION. I'm not a detractor, but I am a value based asset investor. What's ya'll read on this for next season? |

He reminds me of Eric Metcalfe not a true running back but some one who can break a game open at anytime. So his pay will reflect that during contract talks. I also think T. Holiday of LSU will have that same issue. and your points are on point Neugey he have to have the money plays for his speed

So it's looking bad for Reggie unless he turns it around quickly. |

Re: Decoy or No Decoy
Besides the fumble I thought that Bush has a pretty good game. There were a few runs/catches that he made where he got past the corner and if it was Pierre it probably wouldn't have happened.
Pierre did fumble which has been mentioned and Mike Bell had a very costly fumble against Detroit. It happens. Bush isn't Barry Sanders but he gets more yards than he gets credit for gaining. I think he stays around for awhile. |

no excuse for the fumble, but i think we would see a bigger inpact from him if we were playing from behind. playing with a lead is pierre territory.

Re: Decoy or No Decoy
Beyond a doubt Reggie will not see that money from T. Benson next year. He still has a shot of retaining his pride though and I hope he comes through and contributes. He is approaching the underachiever bust title and he is responsible for the doubt he has placed on us the fans and the coach.

Not sure but one of them has to happen. |
