Re: Likelyhood To Make the Playoffs
at 4-0, with:
1 game against the Rams 1 game against the Skins 1 game against the Dolphins 1 game against the Cowboys 2 games against the Bucs 2 games against the Panthers .. tell me honestly you do not see a great shot at a 12-4 season. Of the rest of the schedule, there are 3 games that you can see the Saints losing: against the Giants, against the Patriots, and the away Atlanta game. |

Re: Likelyhood To Make the Playoffs
If I were a Vegas dude, I would probably bet on us.
but then, I look at games like the Cowboys, and you gotta expect some of these guys who were expected to win this year to be desperate, and have a big sense of urgency. But, yeah, your post makes a good case. At least my head agrees. My heart refers us back to the thread about "most difficult game" this year, and back to my answer--- our next opponent. And the Giants certainly warrant respect. I think we should even approach the Bye with respect. Lets dont take it lightly, as we've suffered upsets in the past. |

Re: Likelyhood To Make the Playoffs
The only problem with this theory is most NFL teams have a tendency to never have very long streaks of any kind. So, basically those teams that appear a little easy right now, may get a lot better by the time the Saints play them. Based on the way the Saints are playing right now, 12-4 should be a lock. Since I've been a Saints fan for a very long time, one thing I do know is NEVER bet for or against them. LOL

12-4 ... I see 13-3, loses to the Giants, Patriots and then the away Panthers game since Crew de Drew only plays the first series

Re: Likelyhood To Make the Playoffs
This would be a relevant thread in week 9. Too many variables yet to experience, like injuries and, maybe some rebound from the teams further on the schedule.
Never liked paper playoffs. Always like the real thing. People who get excited about this kind of thing also get excited about the possibility of marrying Angelina Jolie, or that they'll win the lottery. |
