Game Balls
It is obvious that Drew Brees has come back big time and Marques Colston had a blockbuster but you know, there are two players that stood out for me in a sea of stars and one of them you may not even think about. My first plaudits will go to Jermon Bushrod. I don't think I have ever seen such a dominating display against such premier defensive linemen. He protected Drew's blindside like I have never seen, and he's is supposed to be our backup! But for me the guy who changed the game without any hope of award was Thomas Morestead. Yes folks. I have selected a punted as one of our valuable players. In the first half, I firmly believe that our punter stopped two touchdowns and changed the face of the game. My hat is off to you, T. Morestead and I hope that you are mentioned more than just for your punting.

Re: Game Balls
Yes Gup. Moorstead did his job. But my hat goes off to the offensive and defensive lines. Drew made good throws, WR"s made good catches and RB's mad good runs, but our lines controlled the game.
We finally have a legit team. |

Re: Game Balls
I think it was 3 total hits on Brees all game... great job by our offensive line. If there were any doubts about of LT situation, this should help ease doubts on whether we can be good enough to survive w/o Brown. Our offense made their defense look JV out there... it was Oakland all over again except this game counts.

Re: Game Balls
So he basically gets in the way and he gets a gameball? In a game we scored 48 points in? He did what kickers are supposed to do.
Wow. Thats a reach. My game balls... Jermon Bushrod Marques Colston Drew Brees And the Morstead award goes to... The waterboys. I didn't see anyone get cramps. It probably saved us 2 TD's. |

In a game of this magnitude, with so many exceptional plays, I just find it odd someone would point out the kicker simply getting in the way on one return, and a drag down tackle on another. Sorry, but Morstead is about 16th or 17th on my list of players deserving gameballs in this whoopin'. He made no difference at all. |
