Did we lose the game with those fumble? Idk if we did just wondering. Valid point regarding NFL as a business. But look at us and tHe saints as a team. We have probably the biggest supporters of fans. And talkig about business we always sell out. We make a shot load of revenue. And I know what you mean by spending soo much for bush. His contract will be done in maybe 2 to 3 years. Deal with the money spent because if we cut him it will hurt our cap. We can resign him for a lower rate once his contract is up.

Re: Reggie
Actually Euph Reggie has won us games before. That ATL game in 2007, Bucs game in 2006 and some more I cant think of at the moment. Also in 2008 he was making big plays to win us games but our defense and Field goal kickers sucked.

Re: Reggie
I like the three headed RB scheme because it works. You can make arguments over how much Reggie makes, his under-achieving vs. his draft rank, and his turnovers, but the fact remains that he's another arrow in Payton's quiver to strike at the opposition. I'm just happy that coach has finally put away the cute dipsy doodle plays featuring flips and laterals to Reggie that never seemed to produce anything but fan tension and turnovers!
What I'd like to see is the RB coach getting with Tiki Barber and getting our guys to use his hold technique. If you remember, the knock on Tiki was his fumblitis. He worked on his handle, and became lethal in the last years of his career. If its as simple as re-learning how to carry so the ball doesn't pop free, why not? |
A wise man once said, "Poo-poo smells just as bad as s#!%. One just SOUNDS cuter!"

He isn't showing that "we need me to do something to win - give me the ball" attitude.

Re: Reggie
I think Reggie may be accepting his role somewhat. I still think we are better with him and agree he can make plays that our other runners can not make. Our dilemma and more so the coaches is the price for production question that will not be answered until the end of this season.

Re: Reggie
I don't see Loomis being able to trade Reggie due to his contract and his injuries. What team would be dumb enough to trade away their future for a 3rd down specialist/punt returner anyways (btw I like Reggie)
