IMO, had the Saints not been able to sign Brees as a free agent, we would have had many thousands of Matt Leinart threads in here. A good chance Leinart would have been fine for the Saints, but probably an even better chance the Saints may have the same version as Leinart in Arizona...

I thought it was well known that Payton wanted to bring in Romo, but Jerry said no.
I don't know if Romo would've had a better 3 years in NO had he been under Payton, or what would've happened had the Saints drafted Leinart, but I have to say, it all worked wonderfully in the end ![]() |
