WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!! Sorry we couldn't make it to your place, Mike -- Drew had to sing early Sunday morning, and except for the game, it had been such a lousy week we were just exhausted. Thanks for the invite, though! I love the idea of watching old Saints videos; as I said, I've got a few golden oldies, plus some of this years' games on the DVR that I need to put onto a dvd. We need to have a Saints movie night, for sure...
Have a safe trip to the game! Sunday is my birthday, and you all KNOW what I want!!! GEAUX SAINTS!! I honestly don't know how I'll react with a Saints win (notice I'm not saying "when" they win...I'm still supersticious that way, LOL). My guess is that I'll bawl like a baby. Heck, I tear up now just thinking about it... |

aw shoot, KEL, I was hoping you could come. The video thing I stole from you, anyway. I guess you know we're sleeping in Oak Alley Saturday night, because I wanted this weekend to be perfect all around. ...if the boogers dont get us.

Couple nice little places to eat on the east bank if you're interested both close to the Sunshine bridge. The Cabin at the intersection of HWYs 22 and 44 in Burnside is pretty cool if you haven't been there. They combined some old slave houses to build it and the restrooms are made from an old cistern. Lots of old tools hanging up and the wall coverings are from old newspapers. Courtyard in the back where my wife and I got married. Then on river road in Convent about 5 miles from the bridge just past the Zenoh grain elevator there is Hymels (pronounced E-mels) very casual seafood dining. You walk in to see the locals at the bar and a variety of stuffed animals the kids may like to see. Excellent fried frog legs and seafood. The fried chicken is good also. Draft beer served in a mug the size of a fish bowl.
