Re: Beat the Falcons by????

This game is going to be tougher than anyone thinks. Without Ellis, the depth of the line is going to be tested severely by a large dose of Turner/Norwood/Stecker.

The Flakons will try to shorten the game, dominate on the ground and keep the Saints within shouting distance while looking for that key decisive turnover that could rewrite history and their prospects for the playoffs.

But I do hope its like the time I was in the Smith's box at the dome in 1976 and I watched Smith fire his coach with 1 minute to go in the 4th quarter of a 30-0 rout. So freakin sweet.

Re: Beat the Falcons by????

Hey I am saying this is close. I get the feeling that every defense that plays us has something to prove. They get tired of hearing about the offense- and each one wants to be the one to stop us. Atlanta has to win, or, barring a major injury, this division is ours.

I hope we just blow them out, but I think it might be really close

I'm worse at this stuff than the Don. I believe that we get a 10 point lead , but once again we get a slow start. I would like to see a bigger margin of victory, but I can live with winning by 10 points. It could be a fast game tonight...under 3 hours because both teams are going to try to run the ball tonight. When the Falcons go into catch up mode and start getting incompletions then the game should slow down.

Re: Beat the Falcons by????

I hope it is at least the de rigour 2 TDs .

Last week I could see where the Saints could've lost the game before it was played: away game, AFC team coming off bye, emotional win against the Giants, etc... but this week I cannot see either the coaches or the players not seeing the magnitude of this game: Monday night, at home, against divisional foe, who they can put 3 1/2 games behind....

.. game is too big for the Saints to start slow...
